Wicked Witch of the North found – in Michigan!

Kids in Gross Pointe Farms, Michigan got a real scare this Halloween … from the Wicked Witch of the North herself – homeowner Shirley Nagel – who handed out candy exclusively to the offspring of admitted McCain supporters.

Nasty Nagel brought out the Snickers, Skittles and Starburst on Friday night but refused the sweet treats for all those who didn’t share her support for the Republican presidential candidate and his running mate Sarah Palin.
::: oh yeah, THAT’LL teach ’em! :::
A sign outside her house reads:
“No handouts for Obama supporters, liars, tricksters or kids of supporters.”
After calling O’Beautiful “scary” she said it was just fine and dandy to turn children away – empty handed and crying on Halloween — because “Everybody has a choice.”

It is just sad when children are treated (or not treated in this case) based on a political view that no child has control over. I’ll bet she also calls herself a Christian. Why take out your personal political frustration on children? What did a 4 yr old ever do to you?

Grosse Pointe is supposedly the 7th richest suburb in America, so that lady was probably upset about being left out of the Obama tax cut 🙂 But who takes out their political anger on little kids? It just makes her look mean, and does nothing to bring anyone around to her way of thinking…

Ms. Nagel’s actions were beyond ludicrous. Just how far did she take her idiotic “McCain or ELSE!” rationale? One wonders, for instance, if she went around town asking the owners of the businesses she frequents if they supported McCain or Obama. Or how SHE would feel if those same businesses refused to have her as a customer if they disagreed with her political affiliation. Or how she’s been treating her family members or friends (if she has any) who aren’t Republican supporters.
For a supposedly mature person, a former schoolteacher no less, to scorn and reject little kids on one of the fun events of childhood is inexcusable.
This bitter, ignorant, and mean-spirited woman either has mental shortcomings, a drinking problem, or she’s still ticked about that house in the Land of Oz that fell on her sister. She’s certainly no one I’d want to know.
