Accuracy, accurasea, akyura … wait. What?

So, OJ Simpson was sentenced today for his role in a 2007 raid on a Las Vegas hotel room where two collectibles dealers were robbed of a bunch of sports memorabilia and blah blah we’re-so-shocked-he’s-goin’-to-the-slammer blah …

Too bad no one paid attention to the little details … like just how much time he’ll have to look for ‘the real killers’ in prison.

Thanks journos who weren’t part of the historic massive employment bloodletting this year and are lucky to still collect a paycheck from a job you’ve clearly given up on already!!!!!! It’s good to know we can‘t count on you!

Claus for concern? Yes, Virginia …

Thank you! Someone needed to point that out!

  • 2. Fucked Male Negroes  |  December 5, 2008 at 11:26 pm

Young black boys killed each other in the ghettos; If they make it out of the ghettos alive and become successful, they have to watch out for racist writers and federal agents for stupid crimes.
We use all kind of tricks, to get them Negroes,
like cheating then lying under oath (Mayors of Atlanta, Detroit, Washington D.C., President Clinton, “the first black president”. Also, they are more prone to a typical Cop-Beating for driving exotic cars while black. They can pull a Cobe Bryant, a Mike Tyson, a Michael Vick or Jackson on them.

Our Justice system works best at stopping Black males progress!
We are just a bunch of jealous white people!

FMN — I see you wandering toward a coherent point there and I’m rooting for you over here because I can almost, sort of, kind of see it — but then you lose me …
Is yours a pro or con statement?
I’d love it if you could clarify and I’m not even being sarcastic here. Try again, please?

I feel like you have something very relevant and interesting to say, but damn if you’re not just really fucking shitty at making your point … try again, please??

  • 4. writechicpress  |  December 6, 2008 at 4:04 am

There is undeniably disproportionate arrest, prosecution, and incarceration rate of black people. They are half of the prison population while being only 12.5% of the citizenry. This is partly why the United States has a reputation for racism globally.

O.J. is not the poster child for such an observation.

The author was poking at the media for NOT getting the story right. If they’d gotten the sentencing years wrong that many times for Scooter Libby or Scott Peterson, you’d see their pictures up there.

  • 5. lifeisacookie  |  December 6, 2008 at 1:39 pm

Exactly! There was such palpable glee on the part of the media that Simpson will do prison time that the length of sentence was — quite obviously — an afterthought.
It’s a sad commentary, in my view, on what the media has become.
I remember when it was something noble …

OJ goes to prison but Vanilla Ice gets to walk the streets…injustice!

  • 7. lifeisacookie  |  December 7, 2008 at 12:46 am

Tell me about it! That idiot lives about two miles from me in a gated deal off SR 441 in Wellington – ACK!
Ice Ice Baby — TOO CLOSE!!!

  • 8. curious  |  December 7, 2008 at 3:54 am

i bet those young black boys aint in prison for singing too loud in church. it is more of an economic factor than a race factor. if you can afford a great lawyer then you can walk away from anything including decapitating 2 people and having a ton of evidence pointing toward you. a pair of blood stained bruno maglis really make walking away easy.

oj’s stupidity got his black ass locked up this time.

and if young black boys would find role modles other than rapping crack head thugs then they would stand a better chance of getting ahead. plenty of opportunities for college for someone who really wants to go.

quit using race as an excuse to rot in prison…

  • 9. writechicpress  |  December 7, 2008 at 2:29 pm

that’s a formidably incurious response…sounds like something hillbilly heroine addict Rush Limbaugh would say

  • 10. lifeisacookie  |  December 7, 2008 at 3:22 pm

Curious! What am I gonna have to do to make you act right?!?
I know you do NOT believe half of the rubbish you write. I know you don’t!
C’mon, admit it — you’ve got a bleedin’ liberal heart beating inside that GOP chest of yours — I KNOW it!
    Kumbaya anyone??

  • 11. curious  |  December 7, 2008 at 4:53 pm

cookie, are you going to let some TRAGIC CITY liberal push me around like that?? she hurt my feelings. not really. it’s a good thing writechicpress didn’t return nicole’s glasses that night or she would be an oj victim too. i think that black bastard got what he deserved friday. hope he likes men because he will somebody’s bitch in a few days.

actually i’m more of a michael savage listener. rush is too soft for me. btw, does anyone know of a liberal talk show host that ever made enough profit to stay on the air? i didn’t think so

  • 12. lifeisacookie  |  December 7, 2008 at 5:46 pm

Oh you are a funny one! I don’t think anyone could push YOU around!!
And, if I didn’t think I could soften your cold, cold heart (or, more to the point — bend it to my will – muahahahaha!) — I’d rethink my no-holds-barred commenting policy. But I have high hopes for you Curious!!!!

I feel like you weren’t hugged enough as a child (or haven’t learned to love booze the way I do — it really take the edge off!) …

And on hosts? Pandering pays, what can I say?

  • 13. curious  |  December 7, 2008 at 8:43 pm

oh i have been hugged way too much. lol. i had this 17 yr old gf when i was 14 and mom hated her guts 🙂 it’s bee all down hill since then. i gave up all my drinking and other things yrs ago and life is much better without it. i just have a very low tolerance for people, or groups of people, who blame everyone but themselves for their actions. the military is hiring every day and they have this thing called the gi bill but it requires discipline. it helped me through a couple yrs of college.

so how was your weekend cookie? sunny and warm? we still have snow on the ground. somebody needs to call ALGORE and ask him where he got his so called scientific proof of global warming. i guess the climate of his private jet stays about 70 degrees and low humidity…

  • 14. lifeisacookie  |  December 7, 2008 at 8:51 pm

I blame everyone for everything! I’m an equal-opportunity blamer — I’m still working on a way to pin the New Great Depression on you in some way (you know I am!! 😉

My weekend’s been interesting. Got to see the ol’ Human Stain herself in Miami slutting it up at an art gallery – so that was kind of fun 😉

  • 15. writechicpress  |  December 7, 2008 at 11:52 pm

Tragic City is very funny! Luckily I hails from Hoova.

  • 16. curious  |  December 8, 2008 at 3:59 am

it’s all birmingham for us lake martin/tallassee natives. lol. i used to go out to the taneyhill opry house to play music when i lived in al and i saw lots of concerts at oak mtn ampitheatre.

i guess someone forgot to tell the new york tramplers about the new great depression the way they were fighting over flat screens. i thought they had plenty since hurricaine katrina. funny how tv’s were more important than food but you have to consider the demographics…

  • 17. lifeisacookie  |  December 8, 2008 at 11:06 am

I can tell you firsthand that a TV – unless it runs on D batteries – won’t do you a whole helluva lotta good in a hurricane.

  • 18. Type Writer  |  December 8, 2008 at 8:47 pm

Somehow Curious has decided that everyone affected by Katrina was simply out looking for an excuse to loot appliance stores… I guess it’s easier to characterize it that way than as the human tragedy — and governmental failure — that it was…

Write Chic, you’re my new heroine; I like you almost as much as my friend Cookie 🙂 BTW, if you want to feel better about Alabama, go to our local South Florida rag ( and do a search on the name “Derek Black”. This kid started coming to my open mikes in Lake Worth, so there’ve been times in the last few weeks where there’ve been some former white-sheet-wearers in the audience while I perform. I try to tweak them by playing some militant Marley or Lennon songs, but they don’t seem to be taking the hint 🙂

  • 19. curious  |  December 8, 2008 at 10:50 pm

maybe you weren’t watching the news durring katrina. i thought it was funny as hell when the police officer grabbed the little bastard by his shirt collar and his belt loops and slung him into the door’s push bar head first. he crumbled like a wet noodle. i thought i was going to fall out of my chair laughing.

the local and state governments dropped the ball on that one. i used to do hurricaine evacuation for ALDOT and we didn’t need someone from washington to tell us to get people the hell outta town. we had our plan and executed it without any major problems. most people didn’t need someone to tell them a hurricaine was coming. they had enough sense to leave. not that the big sleazy is filled with very bright govt officials but you have to consider who elected them. hey new orleans! you are below sea level! somebody grab them school busses and get everyone out of town! !the human tragedy was a city run by criminals and ignorant officials. didn’t they re-elect ray niggen anyway? maybe the next hurricaine will hit durring a gay pride parade or something.

btw, lennon sucks. it’sa shame yoko whatever the hell her name is couldnt have been a katrina victim. yay mark chapman…

  • 20. lifeisacookie  |  December 9, 2008 at 1:03 am

Awww — don’t be hatin’ on John and Yoko! (sad face)

But I do have to interject here about h’canes …

I have a policy that I do NOT evacuate during hurricanes because (until a year or so ago) none of the shelters took in pets and, let’s face it, it takes a DAY to get out of Florida (from where I am).

For what it’s worth, in 2004 (the worst hurricane season EVAR!) my neighbors evacuated, sat for 6 hours on the turnpike and had to turn around and come back home. They’d planned their evacuation very well but you can’t forecast traffic problems on a mostly-two-lane northbound turnpike with infrequent exits.
They had no supplies (because they WEREN’T SUPPOSED TO BE HERE) so everyone on our street took care of them after Francis and then, mere days later, after Jeanne roared through our area (making landfall two miles of each other).

Evacuation, while not my plan, isn’t always possible for those who do make it priority #1 … not just sayin’ — been there!

I hate hurricanes (and yes, that includes Miami h’cane football 😉 )

  • 21. curious  |  December 9, 2008 at 1:39 am

i bet if you were below sea level you would get out of town and there were plenty of mahor highways and interstates will all lanes headed north, east and west. no excuse for what happened there. i bet william jefferson got his money/ice cream out of his freezer before he left.

  • 22. lifeisacookie  |  December 9, 2008 at 11:02 am

Technically I’m at sea level now — but if I drive three miles east there are several places (behind the berms) that are below — still though, if I can’t take the ‘mules I stick, that’s just the way I roll (or, err, don’t).

  • 23. curious  |  December 9, 2008 at 1:02 pm

i love ya cookie but if the big cloud spinnin’ gets you because you couldn’t get your animals out, then i can’t have too much pity for you. no dog, cat, horse or anything else is worth a human life to me. i even put democrats above pets.

  • 24. lifeisacookie  |  December 9, 2008 at 1:09 pm

*sniff … that was harsh …

  • 25. curious  |  December 9, 2008 at 8:08 pm

don’t be heartbrokeen. i hate to see any animal abused but thats just the way i see the order of things. man is above animals. i am a PETA member of sorts. People for the Eating of Tasty Animals.

so how about this illinois gov? looks like his a$$ is in a sling. not a good start for the obama trail. i wonder how much he had to pay for his senate seat. i know he spent the most ever on a pres camp and the majority of his donations can’t be traced… i hope he wasn’t involved in any corruption.

  • 26. lifeisacookie  |  December 9, 2008 at 8:51 pm

I don’t think my boyfriend is implicated but there is a danger of tainting by association, I get that. I think he’s clean though 😉 .
Illinois governors have a somewhat solid record of incarceration! What up wit dat?!?

  • 27. curious  |  December 9, 2008 at 9:42 pm

i honestly hope he is clean. lol. i guess joe biden already said he was “clean”.

i’m tired of the vicious left hating bush for no good reason. i was tired of the ignorant right wingers obsessed with clinton’s ugly-ass monica girl episode.

i’m the most conservative person that will ever post here but i wouldn’t wish on obama what the left wishes for bush. but the left has dominated the media for the last 40 yrs and their agenda is to editorialize and not report facts. they are just a lazy bunch of idealogues. at least the hannitys and the limbaughs of the world tell you up front that they are conservative. chris matthews, keith olberwannabeaman, and rachael madcowdisease claim to report the facts. chris matthew’s toes curl every time he says obama. it’s sickening. there is a reason msnbc falls so far behind fox and the ny times is hocking off the shrine to pay the bills. print some honest news people want to read. maybe print the truth! what a concept…

  • 28. lifeisacookie  |  December 9, 2008 at 9:51 pm

Ok — I do plan a comment there but for now I have to get my belly laugh on picturing Chris Matthews’ toes curling at the sound of O’Beautiful’s name … haha — that is very really funn … wait, no, that’s not right …

This is the shit you bitches are reading
