Laura Bush is a tool

A catastrophic tropical cyclone (aka hurricane) hit the Southeast Asian country of Myanmar (aka Burma) early Saturday and the White House got all blamey on Monday and trotted out Cindy Lou Who (aka Laura Bush) to denounce the Mayanmar government response to the disaster.
I’d say this bitch has balls, but it’s Laura Bush. She just smiles into the camera and says what she’s told.
After all, it’d be kinda hard for Shrub to get up there and act all self-righteous and critical of another government’s response to disaster after taking nearly as long to get to New Orleans after Katrina as it took God to make the friggin’ WORLD.

They asked her to speak because they figured the ball-less press wouldn’t ask any serious questions related to the Bush Administration’s fuck up on Hurricane Katrina. They were right. Doesn’t she have a great smile?

But how sad that Mr. 28% Approval Rating has to use his wife in the waning hours of his lame-duck presidency to say tough stuff to other leaders…

did you see that presser? She actually went into a discussion about her daughter’s wedding this weekend as well … during a ’serious talk’ about cyclone aid …

Yep, I saw it, they talked about her daughter’s wedding but nobody asked why they keep calling it a cyclone.
Cyclones, hurricanes, and typhoons are all the same storm type. They are created by the same weather conditions. The only difference is the ocean where they form: cyclones form in the Indian Ocean and near the South Pacific, hurricanes form in the Atlantic and Eastern Pacific Oceans and typhoons form in the Western Pacific. As far as I’m concerned, it’s a bunch of BS, they botched the response to “Cyclone” Katrina. The First Lady should talk about what, -if anything- the administration learned from those deadly mistakes in 2005.

I could not agree more! Personally, I’m stunned they’d bring anyone out to talk about anything even remotely related to government response to a catastrophic natural event … they never cease to amaze …
